pCloud. Sign in with your pCloud account in the browser and the whole account opens in Finder. US and EU accounts alike: PolyDrive keeps whichever region your account lives in. Deleting a folder goes through pCloud's own recursive call, so clearing out a large folder takes a moment rather than a minute, and the drive shows how much of the account is still free. Search your drives from Spotlight, on macOS 26 and later. Spotlight offers "Search PolyDrive" beside "Search iCloud Drive": choose it and the search narrows to your cloud drives, with a chip for each drive to narrow further. The row appears for the services that can list a whole drive in one request — S3 and the S3-compatible providers, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage, OpenStack Swift, Dropbox and Google Drive. Spotlight answers from what it has already seen of those drives. On macOS 27, a folder you keep offline now keeps its listing offline too, so opening it with no connection shows what is inside instead of nothing. And the small status marks next to each drive in the menu bar are back — macOS 27 had stopped drawing them. Deleting a folder that has folders inside it now removes all of it on SFTP and FTP drives. Before, the files inside went and the empty folders stayed — and on FTP the delete reported success while leaving them there. A new app icon, drawn the way macOS 26 draws icons, so it sits with the rest of the Dock in light, dark and tinted appearances.

Twenty new services, 47 in all. Box, MEGA, Jottacloud and Tencent Weiyun join the list, along with MEGA S4, OpenStack Swift, UpYun, Volcengine TOS, Yandex Disk and nine more S3-compatible providers whose endpoints are already filled in. The S3 section of the picker collapses now, so the services people come looking for are not behind a list of resellers. Cryptomator vaults. Turn on "Open a Cryptomator vault" under Advanced Options for any drive, give the vault's password and the folder it sits in, and the vault opens in Finder like any other drive — readable and writable, with everything staying encrypted on your storage. Create the vault in Cryptomator first: PolyDrive opens vaults that already exist rather than making new ones. Keep files offline. Right-click a file or a folder on a drive and choose "Keep Available Offline": it is downloaded and kept, so it opens with no connection, and a pin badge in Finder shows what is being kept. "Remove Local Copy (Keeps the Original)" hands the space back. Choose a folder and everything inside it comes too. Large files open about three times faster. A drive used to read a file 4 MB at a time and wait for each piece; once it can see that a file is being read straight through, it now asks for up to 32 MB at once — a 256 MB video in 11 requests instead of 64. The gain is largest where waiting on the service was the delay. Uploads are unchanged. No limit on how many cloud drives you can add. The purchase used to raise the limit to ten, and now there is no ceiling. Past twenty drives PolyDrive explains what that costs in memory and lets you continue. The two free cloud drives are unchanged, and shares, phones and local disks were never limited. A window that says what PolyDrive did. Open "Activity" from the menu-bar icon or the bottom of the main window: drives connecting, folders refreshing, transfers finishing — and uploads that failed, named, with the reason the service gave. Failures recorded while you were away are counted beside the menu item. The record stays on your Mac, and "Export…" writes it to a file you choose. Copy a sharing link. Right-click an item and choose "Copy Sharing Link", or "Copy Box Link" and the like where the service makes its own; on S3-compatible storage the link works for seven days. Move a folder between two clouds. "Upload Folder…" takes a drive as its source now, and nothing lands on your disk on the way. Fixes: • Dragging a file or a folder into another folder copied it and left the original behind, on every service. It moves now. • Moving a folder on S3-compatible storage left its files at the old path, and on Google Drive it quietly did nothing while reporting success. • Writing into a folder that had only just been created failed on an Android phone. • A drive whose settings were edited went on using the old ones until macOS restarted its connection, and Test Connection tested the saved drive instead of what was on screen. • A refresh that ran longer than 90 seconds was reported as no answer from the drive, and one very large folder could use up the whole refresh, so other folders were never re-read. • Deleting a folder on object storage is now one request per thousand files rather than one per file, and a file's own modification date survives being uploaded. • Files fetched from a drive were dated 31 December 1969.

PolyDrive now installs in about a third of the space it used to take. Every drive, every feature and every fix from 1.3 works exactly as before.

Transfer a folder without dragging it. "Upload Folder…" and "Download Folder…" are new in the menu and the main window. Copying thousands of small files into a mounted drive is slow, however fast the connection. Handing the folder to PolyDrive instead opens many connections at once — a folder of 300,000 files that needs the better part of four hours through the mount moved in half an hour, roughly seven times faster. Progress, a running count and a Stop button are in the main window. A run that was stopped or interrupted offers Resume and picks up where it left off, even after PolyDrive was quit and reopened, and if the destination already holds files PolyDrive says what merging will do before it writes anything. Refresh from Server. A drive's menu now has a refresh button that re-reads your folders right away. Until now, a file added or removed somewhere else — on another machine, or on your provider's own web page — showed up whenever the cache happened to age out. An attached phone gets "Refresh from Device". Private key files for SFTP. Choose a key from ~/.ssh, encrypted keys included, and a server that does not accept passwords becomes reachable. The key's contents are stored rather than its location, so moving or deleting the file afterwards does not break the drive. FTPS. Saving an FTPS drive quit PolyDrive outright, and behind that crash FTPS could not connect to any server at all. Both are fixed. Plain FTP was never affected. WebDAV servers that could not be mounted. A server that leaves out a file's modification date answered with an empty folder, and one that confirms a new folder with "204 No Content" failed every upload that needed one. Both behaviours are permitted and ordinary; both now work. This covers the WebDAV, Nextcloud and OpenList connections. SFTP folders holding older filenames. A single file whose name predates UTF-8 — from an old NAS, in Latin-1 or GBK — made the whole folder unreadable. The rest of the folder now lists normally. Two OneDrive fixes: • Uploading a larger file to the top level of your drive failed. Files big enough to need a resumable upload were addressed to the wrong place. • Creating a folder at the top level of a OneDrive failed. Folders created inside an existing folder were unaffected. An unexpected internal error in a storage connection is now reported as a failed operation rather than closing PolyDrive. Also updated the storage engine shared by every cloud service, which brings reliability fixes to several of them.

SFTP drives. Connect to any SSH server with a password or a key file. The server's host key is shown the first time and remembered afterwards, so a key that changes later is a warning instead of a silent connection. Android phones and tablets. Plug one in over USB and open it in Finder — copy files both ways, rename, delete, and play a video straight off the phone without downloading it first. If macOS has already claimed the phone, PolyDrive works through that claim instead of asking you to quit anything, and "Disconnect Device" hands the phone back when another app needs it. SMB network shares. Add a share from a NAS or another Mac, and PolyDrive mounts it at login and mounts it again whenever the network drops it. The password is checked before mounting, so a typo is a message in PolyDrive rather than a system dialog. Network shares, phones and local disks now sit together in one section of the window, and none of them counts against the cloud-drive limit. They are local connections, and they stay unlimited on every tier. Faster folder listings. A drive's contents are now cached on the Mac, so re-opening a folder does not wait on the network. A renamed file no longer leaves a copy of its old name behind. PolyDrive now works with VoiceOver. Every drive announces its name and connection state together, the buttons in each row say which drive they act on, and the storage-service picker reads each service with the credentials it will ask for. All of it is translated into the app's ten languages, not just English. The main window can be resized. It was a fixed size before, which was a problem at the larger display-scaling settings — the window could be taller than the screen with no way to make it smaller. Layout fixes for languages other than English. The buttons in the add-a-drive form ran past the edge of the sheet in Russian, and the File System Extensions link was cut off in German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Russian. Escape now closes the Add Cloud Drive, unlock and activation panels. They previously had no keyboard way out.

Six more storage services, now 24 in all: Nextcloud, ownCloud, Wasabi, IDrive e2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Scaleway and Storj. One-click sign-in for Dropbox and OneDrive. Connecting them no longer means registering your own developer application first — though you can still use your own credentials if you prefer. Two cloud drives are now free, up from one. Local Linux disks remain unlimited on every tier. Linux disks report their real size. A mounted ext4 volume showed up as 0 bytes; it now shows its actual capacity and free space. Fixes: • Moving a file between folders on a cloud drive now reaches the server • The Trash listing for a cloud drive showed the drive's root instead • Changes made elsewhere now appear without re-adding the drive • Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage connections were failing to authenticate • A single unusual item no longer empties an entire OneDrive folder listing • An abandoned sign-in can be cancelled instead of hanging • A drive whose sign-in has expired now says so, instead of showing a green check and an empty folder
