WHO IS THIS APP FOR?
PostfixMe is useful only to users of a private, Postfix-based mail server whose mail administrator has added the PostfixMe API extension to their PostfixAdmin installation.
If you don't know what PostfixAdmin is, or if your email administrator hasn't told you about PostfixMe, this app is not for you.
WHAT IS POSTFIXME?
If your organization or household runs its own Postfix email server with PostfixAdmin and has installed the PostfixMe API extension, this app lets you create and manage email aliases (forwarding addresses) and change your mailbox password directly from your iPhone or iPad.
WHY USE EMAIL ALIASES?
Email aliases protect your primary address from spam. Instead of sharing your primary (real mailbox) address, you create a unique alias for each service, contact, or group. Mail sent to any alias is forwarded silently to your inbox; senders never see your real address as long as you keep it to yourself.
If spam arrives via any alias, you can identify which alias was compromised by reviewing the message details and then disable or delete the compromised alias in seconds. Your primary address stays protected and you keep full control over who can reach your inbox.

Email Alias Management
- Create new aliases — set up forwarding addresses such as sales@yourdomain.com to your real inbox

WHAT POSTFIXME DOES NOT DO
PostfixMe does not send or receive email. It only manages email aliases (forwarding addresses) and your primary mailbox password. To read and send email, use a standard email client such as Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird.
REQUIREMENTS
- iOS 18.0 or later
- A PostfixAdmin server with the PostfixMe API extension installed
- Valid credentials (email address and password) provided by your mail administrator
GETTING STARTED
1. Confirm with your mail administrator that PostfixAdmin and the PostfixMe API are enabled on your server.
2. Obtain the server URL and your mailbox login credentials from your administrator.
3. Enter the server URL and your credentials on the login screen.
