Excellent, but a couple of improvements

This app does exactly what it says, nothing more or less. Simplicity is a virtue! Thank you!

That said, it’s not perfect. Please consider these suggested improvements:

First, it would make the app much easier to use if it remembered the last number range used from one run to another. I don’t want to keep the app running in the background all the time to accomplish this. Just have the app remember the previous range settings instead of reverting to 0-99 each time.

Second, user interface improvements:

The typing cursor always seems to be the same bluish color. Too often the background comes up that same color so the cursor is invisible. Can you make the cursor be the opposite of the background color? Or make it solid black or some other color that can’t be a background color.

Also, it seems that since some recent update you now have to tap right on the range numbers to open the keyboard for entering a new number. Previously it seemed like tapping in the nearby vicinity was recognized. Trying to tap right on the “99” invariably lands the cursor between the nines which is useless. For those of us with fat fingers it’s unnecessarily difficult to enter the range numbers.

This app needs a simple repair.

The issue is that when I adjust the "Min" and "Max" parameters for random generation, they only apply to the touch input and not the "shake to randomize" input. I usually prefer to shake to randomize because the app might be using the accelerometer to generate random noise. (If not, I would highly recommend having the accelerometer be the source of random generation - then, D&D would be so much easier since I wouldn't need so many dice.) Overall, I suggest that you (whether singular or plural) should continue to develop this app further - maybe a seed input option would be good, too.

P.S. I hope to become an app developer someday; I'll be happy to learn how to do so.

Simple and fun

As a teacher, sometimes it’s helpful to randomize choices you make. Keeps your students on their toes. There are several far more complicated randomizers for teachers designed specifically for choosing from a list of names and so on, but sometimes you just need something simple.

This app is perfect for simple. That it’s pretty is a bonus. The “shake to randomize” feature is one of the best things about it.

If there’s a downside, it’s that the ad placement in the free version blocks some content on my iPhone 8 screen. Not enough to prevent use, but still. I did spring for the budget-breaking ad-free version — a whole 99 cents — but that hidden content still runs off the bottom of my screen. A very minor blemish to a very fine app.
