Ok but expect more from Principal

Disclosure, I have a 401k with self trading ability within the account.

Account is much more iPhone screen friendly. Layout is better and more information with less clicks then previous app. But app is still lacking options to make changes to my self trading account. In fact it missing all information of the account (at least previous app opened a web browser). This “NEW” app doesn’t even acknowledge I have the ability.

Overall I would say better but not the were it should be.

Put the old one back

This MIGHT be a better version if it was ready for prime time. As it is, it’s a step back to the Stone Age. If the Life Ins Department isn’t ready, don’t release the app! If other departments aren’t ready, DON’T RELEASE THE APP! If it produces Errors right and left, and says “try back again later”, don’t release it! I think the marketing department made the decision to go live with this, because they had “pretties” they wanted out there (the allegedly helpful educational sections).

If you are going to kick me over to the website INSIDE the app (an Apple rules no-no - how’d that get past review, Tim Cook?) what’s the point of an app?
Makes me re-authenticate each time I change from something it covers to something it doesn’t.
Never annoy the customer.

Pull this app and put the old one back until all are ready. I could get what I needed in the old version, and this had nothing I want.

You're embarrassing yourselves. This just makes one think, 🤔, “do I want my money there?” Is the rest of the IT Department 20 years behind? Did they outsource all IT design /testing to a third world company? Have they cut staff so low they lost the Edge they used to have? Did the smart people retire? <end bashing> 😁

I’d use the old one, but I mistakenly deleted it first before getting this one, and it just made me authentic to find out they had this new one anyway (NEVER ANNOY THE CUSTOMER!).

Time for fresh eyes in the User Experience positions?

Better Interface, but missing key account info

Touch ID - finally! Overall interface is much improved over previous version - however, half of my account information is missing, showing $.00. When selecting, gives error message “try again later”. This is a major problem! I’m switching back to the older version until this is fixed. Rolling out an updated version without adequate testing is unacceptable. You guys can do better.

Updated version STILL doesn’t work! Unable to see half of my account information. I’ve called multiple times and talked to people at Principal to no avail. This app is worthless. Test stuff before you roll it out. Unbelievable failure - again!

As we continue to add more functionality and enhancements in the app, we’ll keep your feedback in mind. We've released a couple of fixes, but if those updates don't work, please let us know.
