13 CHECKS ON EVERY FILE
• Image resolution — the check you cannot do by eye. A 300 dpi photo placed at double size prints at 150 dpi. PrintFlight measures the real placed size and reports the effective resolution.
• Line weight — hairlines and zero-width strokes that look fine on screen and vanish on a high-resolution press.
• Bleed — measures the actual distance between TrimBox and BleedBox on all four edges, not just whether a box exists.
• Box geometry — TrimBox outside MediaBox, BleedBox smaller than TrimBox, and other structural faults that make RIP behaviour unpredictable.
• Page rotation — mixed rotation values that misalign imposition and automatic trimming.
• Output intent — is a print color target (OutputIntent/ICC) declared?
• Font embedding — are all fonts embedded?
• Spot colors — Pantone and other separations that need confirming with your printer.
• Color space — RGB left in a file headed for print.
• Overprint — objects set to overprint, intentionally or not.
• Transparency — groups that may need flattening.
• Trim box — is the trim size unambiguous?
• Page size — pages that differ from the first.

PrintFlight Pro is an auto-renewing subscription: USD 9.99 per month or USD 49.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in Settings ▸ Apple Account ▸ Subscriptions.
