Your two-factor codes, kept on your own Apple devices. No account, no 3rd party cloud, no tracking, no price. Sync is optional, and only through Apple's iCloud Keychain. Private Authenticator keeps your two-factor authentication codes on your own Apple devices, with no 3rd party cloud. There is no account to create and nothing is collected: not your usage, not your location, not your name. If you choose to sync, your accounts travel only through Apple's iCloud Keychain, which is end-to-end encrypted, and never through Pebble IT. WHAT IT DOES • Scan a QR code or type a setup key to add an account. • Codes for every service that uses standard TOTP, plus Steam Guard. • Face ID or Touch ID before a code is shown, and codes that never linger: the screen closes itself after a time you choose. • Tags to group accounts, search, a Recent list that puts the ones you use first, and an archive for accounts you no longer need but don't want to lose. • Import from Google Authenticator and other apps; export to them just as easily. • Encrypted backups as QR images you keep in Photos or Files, unlocked only by a recovery key that never leaves your hands. • Optional sync to your other Apple devices through Apple's iCloud Keychain, or keep everything on this iPhone only: you choose at the start. • A companion app for Apple Watch that shows your codes on your wrist, synced directly from your iPhone. • Works in landscape, with Recent and Tags side by side. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO • It never sends your codes or secrets to Pebble IT or to any 3rd party cloud. • It never asks you to sign in. • It never shows adverts, never tracks you, and never charges. WHO MADE IT Pebble IT Solutions, an Australian services company, built Private Authenticator for its own staff and clients at no cost because a private authenticator should cost nothing.
