The Profoto Control Desktop app has been created for the modern, connected photographers that want to get the most out of their creative workflow – whether using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. This is the Profoto experience at its best.

Connect to your remote or directly to any Air 2 compatible lights and control up to 6 separate groups of light for ultimate flexibility and get a complete overview from a clean and easy-to-use interface.

Deliver fast and consistent lighting by creating presets of your custom-designed setups. This enables you to keep your lighting to what you plan throughout the shoot and fine tune along the way.

Experiment with different lighting setups to create the unique shot you envision. The Control Desktop app helps you increase efficiency in your workflow by managing every light setting right from your desktop. Use it side-by-side with your tethering software to take advantage of the comfort of having it all in one place.

Profoto Control Desktop requires that you run macOS 11 or later on your computer.

Version 1.1.2 is bringing numerous improvements, including:
- Improved ability to control continuous light of individual lights

Absurd Ridiculus Pricing

Sure way of annoying customers who pay a lot for the profoto equipment and then charged with a ridiculous amount for a remote control app which already exists on iOS. No extra features nothing special other than a petty mindset to earn a few dollars at the cost of customer dissatisfaction. Its surprising to see that management is willing to stake their years of reputation to come with such a pricing model.

Subscription? No thanks.

a very marginally featured app with no active development, and the ludicrousness of a subscription. "Maybe" it would be a hit as a free version as an additional way to captivate exisiting and future users. I would pay perhaps 5 dollars a year if there was additional features (but how many you need to come up with to justify it?)
There is no server load to justify this.
Stop charging for this app.

Ridiculous subscription fee

There's no way this app should cost this much to subscribe too. Feels greedy and disingenous of Profoto to even publish this.
