Thespis the Mediocre
As an actor, this had been my go to app for self tape auditions for many years. The most useful feature for me was the ability to use different colored text to distingush between characters in the same script. After this recent major update, that feature is seemingly gone. I can only make ALL the text on any given script one color now. This severely diminshes the usefullness of this app for me. Like so many others, I also paid a good deal of money for the PRO version years ago. If that critical feature is now suddenly behind the new "Extended subscription" paywall, I'm out. I had previously recommended this app to many fellow actors. Might be time for us to find a new one...

It is by far the best speech recognition engine I have tried, it is easy to learn, and it has never let me down before a live audience. I am a good writer, but I have problems with memory when I try to give a speech live. PromptSmart Pro is a lifesaver for me. Every time I forget what I am going to say next, PromptSmart Pro has correctly moved the teleprompter to the correct next line in my sermon. This allows me to speak fluently and flawlessly while focusing my attention on my audience, not on my text. In my past career, I was a VP of Products in the software industry (I led the creation of Rosetta Stone language learnning software), so I know a great product when I see it and use it. PromptSmart Pro is a great product.

I've tried everything for the last 48 hours to create one video and it does not follow my voice. It stops the majority of the time and when it does work, it then moves too quickly. I've changed the settings, reset my iPhone, made my space completely silent to ensure it wasn't picking up any outside noise, moved it as close to my face as possible to see if maybe it was not hearing me...nothing worked so I wasted my $ on this one.

The AI assistance follows your voice alright, but there's no option to lock into landscape mode. The in-app support ticketing system is broken, but emailing support turned into an unproductive back and forth in which they insisted I need only use the native iOS lock feature or reinstall the app, when it's clear that iOS only locks in portrait mode on iPhone. Will be requesting a refund.
