Do not get if you have iphone 14pro

I was SUPER excited to get my proov order. So much so that I emailed them to change my shipping from standard to express. They were great help. I have been trying to use their strips but have become very frustrated with the fact that their app does not work with the newer camera system on the iphone 14. It gives me so much trouble when trying to take a photo. I have to hold the camera a foot and a half away for the picture to be clear but at that far away it didn’t capture the true color of the test. So even though my one test was darker than the one before, it read it as lighter. Which is super frustrating. The app doesn’t give you an option to go back and submit a different photo, instead it tells you to contact customer support. The whole thing is super frustrating when ttc in the first place is difficult. I feel like the whole complete kit was a waste of money. Don’t get fooled like I did if you have a 14 pro.

Very insightful

I love proov products and have used their complete kit more times than I can remember. The information learned from proov’s reports and my hormonal fluctuations was so helpful in the long process of understanding my body and symptoms. Thank you Proov team!

A Waste of Time and Money

Update: somehow the latest app update got even worse. The process of taking and submitting photos is nearly impossible. Plus app freezes.

Original: I found the tests and app to be infuriatingly difficult to use. There’s not an easy way to look ahead at what tests are coming, so you have to depend on the notifications or check the app daily. It is incredibly challenging to get the photos just right, so even with good lightening and a great phone, sometimes it takes 20+ tries. Sometimes the app switch your tests (e.g. it says Multi, but then logs it as FHS). The help team is quick to respond in the scenarios which is great, but unfortunately repeat the same meaningless directions for how to take the photos, as if you’re an idiot and aren’t already trying your darnedest. The kits come with a lot of extra tests, so you end up throwing a lot away at the end of the month. If you instead try to use the extra tests daily to complete a more complete / continuous hormone picture, the results suddenly seem inaccurate (e.g. telling you you’re fertile immediately after menstruating). Though I appreciate the intent to try and do this at home, and I understand it’s more affordable than a doctor’s visits, the tech doesn’t seem to there yet. I feel scammed for sinking hundreds of dollars to get the same level of information I could’ve gotten by simple tracking my cycles, temperatures, etc.
