Good app but could use some improvements

I found the app pretty easy to use, it lets you know when to take the ovulation confirmation test strips. And gave me a score and told me I had low pdg so I was able to start progesterone after falling pregnant this cycle. One thing about the app I didn’t like was when you take a pic of your test strip you can’t preview it and submit or take a different one. So if the lighting isn’t great, or there are shadows you may not get an accurate reading. You can take a pic outside the app and then upload it to app to counter this but I’d rather have the feature within the app itself. Ability to make changes to things easier without having to contact proov customer help.
The girls are so friendly and helpful in the proov Facebook group, very supportive and lots of information given! My infertility acupuncturist is going to be learning more about the new proov products to see if it’s something she will recommend to her patients too.

A Waste of Time and Money

Update: somehow the latest app update got even worse. The process of taking and submitting photos is nearly impossible. Plus app freezes.

Original: I found the tests and app to be infuriatingly difficult to use. There’s not an easy way to look ahead at what tests are coming, so you have to depend on the notifications or check the app daily. It is incredibly challenging to get the photos just right, so even with good lightening and a great phone, sometimes it takes 20+ tries. Sometimes the app switch your tests (e.g. it says Multi, but then logs it as FHS). The help team is quick to respond in the scenarios which is great, but unfortunately repeat the same meaningless directions for how to take the photos, as if you’re an idiot and aren’t already trying your darnedest. The kits come with a lot of extra tests, so you end up throwing a lot away at the end of the month. If you instead try to use the extra tests daily to complete a more complete / continuous hormone picture, the results suddenly seem inaccurate (e.g. telling you you’re fertile immediately after menstruating). Though I appreciate the intent to try and do this at home, and I understand it’s more affordable than a doctor’s visits, the tech doesn’t seem to there yet. I feel scammed for sinking hundreds of dollars to get the same level of information I could’ve gotten by simple tracking my cycles, temperatures, etc.

Bad update

I’m writing a 1⭐️ review only because the most recent update (a few days ago) made taking and submitting test strip photos really bad. If you fix it then I’ll remove my bad review. If you just go back to the way it was before your update a few days ago, that would fix it for me. I used to have difficulty taking the test strip photos but then I found a spot that always worked for me. I haven’t had difficulties for months until today. Now I notice that the whole process doesn’t even show up correctly on my screen anymore. For example the button to go into the screen to take the photo is only half-visible on the screen (and it’s not due to scrolling; I can’t scroll down any further). On the actual screen to capture the photo, things look “off” and are not rendering right. I did the same process I always did which has always worked for me to get a good photo but now over and over and over again the app claims it doesn’t work or if a confirmation screen does come up with what you think is the correct cropped area, it’s not correct at all and doesn’t even look like any part of the strip or anywhere on my photo.
