Proportion Draft
Golden Ratio Layout Guides
$5.99
Build precise layouts from the golden ratio, root ratios, and custom proportions. Inspect dimensions on the canvas, then share your guides as SVG or PDF.
Proportion Draft is an iPhone drafting tool for exploring well-proportioned layouts with the golden ratio, root ratios, and other familiar proportions.
Set a reference width or height, choose a proportion, and preview the resulting divisions instantly. You can refine a composition with measured values instead of relying on visual judgment alone. It is useful when planning woodworking, furniture, products, graphics, and other projects before production begins.
FAST PROPORTION-BASED DRAFTING
Choose from 1:1, the golden ratio, square root of 2, square root of 3, 2:1, square root of 5, 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9 presets, or enter a custom ratio. Switch between landscape and portrait orientations and build a layout from reference dimensions.
COMPARE DIVISIONS AND GUIDES
Adjust the number of divisions, the starting corner, and the available root-division method. Toggle primary guides, center lines, diagonals, thirds, fourths, and golden sections independently. Circles and spirals are available with compatible settings.
TAP SHAPES TO INSPECT DIMENSIONS
In Dimension Mode, select a rectangle, circle, guide, or spiral on the canvas to inspect values such as width, height, diameter, and length. Copy the dimension list as text for use in project notes.
SHARE SVG OR PDF FILES
Share your completed guides as SVG or PDF files. For PDF output, choose A4, A3, Letter, or a custom paper size, then adjust orientation, margins, and scale.
CONTROL DISPLAY AND OUTPUT PRECISION
Set rounding separately for on-screen values and exported values. Choose Light, Dark, or System appearance.
No account, sign-in, or network connection is required. Open the app and start drafting right away.
