Description
This app allows you to effortlessly control your UDP VISCA compatible PTZ Camera. The app also has a built in camera view feature, which eliminates the need to view the camera feed on a separate device while controlling it. You can add as many cameras as you need, with eight presets per camera. The app features a modern dark design and is actively updated.
Compatible with many brands which do not have a PTZ control app, such as Sony and Marshall. As long as your camera supports VISCA over UDP, this application will be compatible.

Doesn’t work with Sony cameras as claimed
The product description indicates that it works with Sony PTZ cameras. This is not true. I tried it with three different models, the SRG-A40, SRG-X120, and SRG-300SE, and none of them could be controlled by the app. I was able to see video, but could not move the cameras at all.
If I was to guess, I believe the issue may be related to a misunderstanding of the VISCA over IP protocol. The app requests that the user enters the camera sequence number, which is something that changes with every command that is sent, and the application should be managing automatically. The user has absolutely no way of knowing what the proper sequence number would be; it’s supposed to be negotiated by every PTZ controller when it first connects.
For the developer: spend a few minutes in one of the technical manuals available on Sony’s website, where Sony describes in detail how the sequence number works.

Shoot us an email at info@xalting.com, we'll get this resolved ASAP but need more information. Our app currently uses a well known workaround in the VISCA protocol that simply uses all 0's for the cam sequence number. This workaround has worked on all the cameras we've tested it on and is even used by many hardware controllers that are compatible with Sony cameras. If your cameras expressly require the header to be incremented in order to work we can add support for that, but it's likely the issue is related to something else (such as your PTZ speeds being set to zero in the app settings or you're using the wrong port etc.).
