Huge update. We've spent the last couple of months rebuilding Punchify around speed, accuracy, and teamwork — here's what's new. SMARTER AI, IN YOUR WORDS We rewrote the AI to stay faithful to the way you actually talk on site. Your terminology — punch, return, reveal, miter, strike, drop, scribe — now comes through clean, not reworded into textbook sentences. If you say it, we keep it. BETTER LOCATION TRACKING Start a walkthrough with a unit number, a floor, or a street address and Punchify carries it through every task automatically. No more hand-correcting "Apartment 707" on a job that doesn't have apartments. MUCH FASTER ANALYSIS Long videos used to crawl. We now: • chunk audio and analyze it in parallel • pre-upload photos while you're still recording • lowered video resolution to the sweet spot between speed and clarity • moved onto the newest generation of Google's AI The result: what used to take minutes now takes seconds, and your 45-minute walkthroughs actually finish. A REAL REVIEW LIST Swipe through every task the AI found, approve what's right, skip what isn't, and edit anything that needs a fix — all before you publish a single thing. Edits now stick instantly on the list, so you can move through 80 tasks quickly without losing your place. CLEANER REPORTS • New simplified report format for VIP Structures (photos on the left, details on the right) • Sort tasks in your report the way you walked the house — top to bottom, bottom to top, or grouped by area • Sharper, more readable text on the review list PROJECTS, REBUILT We redesigned the project details screen from scratch. Cleaner layout, faster to open, easier to see what's still open vs closed, and you can now move a task from one project to another without recreating it. TEAM TOOLS • Bulk-invite your whole crew from your phone contacts in one go — no more one-at-a-time typing • Work-proof photos required when a task is moved to "Ready for Review" so there's a visual record of what was done • Procore integration under the hood — tasks you publish can flow straight into your existing Procore project RECORDING IMPROVEMENTS • Long-press to record, release to stop — quick videos for quick callouts • Pause button on the walkthrough so you can stop for a phone call, a city inspector, or a homeowner question without blowing through the time cap • Monthly AI video capacity bumped up to 100 hours STABILITY & POLISH A long list of crash fixes, faster screens, tighter layouts, and small-but-real wins across the whole app. If something felt slow or awkward two months ago, it probably doesn't anymore.
