Great product and AMAZING customer support, receptive to improvement suggestions.

Really enjoy the game but it has so much more potential. It can be buggy but the developer(s) are super responsive to any issues and listen and act on suggestions for improvement. My biggest issue has been that there isn’t any way to communicate with the other members/users but after making the recommendation, the developer replied that this feature will be available in the future. Recently, they added the feature to create public tournaments, which is a really nice upgrade.

Game Changer!

PUTTR actually makes putting fun. The way it connects seamlessly to the putting green is very cool. The games are fun, and the online competition is better than expected. Love this product!

Your Putting Will Get Better

I’ve had the Puttr for a short period of time and I can update this review if anything changes, but I wanted to ensure our experience was put out there for those making a decision. We really love it, despite some issues here and there. However, the developer/company is responsive and helpful, and I’m sure this will continue to improve in time.

I’m going to focus on the app since this is a review on the App Store. The quality and quantity of games in this app is incredible. From fun, simple games your entire family can play to a game called the Lab that is like perfecting an Olympic scoring record where the angle and speed of the ball going into a hole dictates a score per putt averaged over about 7 putts. It’s so hard to hit 7 perfect putts from even 3 feet, and the challenge increases as you go side to side and further back.

What I am most impressed with is how much my kids love this. I bought this for myself (I’m a former Division 1 golfer and now in mid 40s and just trying to get competitive again), but i justified the purchase price that maybe my family would do it. I have at least 2 putting greens in the house and garage that rarely are used by my kids, and if used, not more than 5 minutes. After 2 hours of JUST my kids playing yesterday, I feel confident in the purchase. In some of the games, they play a funny movie clip whether you make or miss it, and my kids couldn’t get enough of that. They played for over an hour after I stopped and kept asking to play even after putting away. There are easy games as kids start out and the feedback is there that the kids keep learning. The company currently offers paid memberships for junior golfers too, so they’ll benefit from the full experience, which is going to make them better at the game and likely more interested in playing the real game (it’s winter so we’ll see).

And lastly, there are tons of feature you don’t need the subscription for. The games and leaderboards are there along with the challenges and “quests”, a competitive video game like gaming feature to get more stars for making putts. I’m still on the fence over the membership for myself and once my son uses it for a bit, I’ll see if it’s worth it for me. To be honest, I’d like to just to support the company as the developer seems to continue addressing bugs and adding new games/features.

This is expensive for the overall product compared to a basic mat, but the technology in the camera required to do these games is a great experience that’s worth it. I already find myself thinking it’s not good enough to make a putt unless my speed is 98-105% and my angle in the hole is +/-10%. Being that specific is going to make me a better putter.
