Works…kind of

The power flow graphic has been spotty at best but now is stuck in the future giving me data on my off-grid system 6 hours from now. I can dig into the app in order to get the battery level but nowhere does it show information on my backup generator. Been working through various bugs for a year now. Every month it’s a different problem. There doesn’t seem to be an alternative monitoring system/app available for comparison.

Graphing is useless

The thing you use on a regular basis is viewing the graph. Useless compared to the previous and now discontinued PowerView ES app which I still use all the time with good graphing. They are now forcing you to use this app.

With the previous app you could pinch to zoom the graph (required on a phone), you could turn on and off each plotted data type. And the colors make sense. In this app THE SOLAR AND THE LOAD ARE BOTH GREEN!!! You can’t tell them apart. Load needs to be red. You need to see the load in relation to the PV input. It is a way to tell how well your array is covering the loads in different weather conditions.
Developers, go look at the powerview ES app and make the graphing like that.
And lastly, get rid in the stupid little bubbles that float along the pictorial image of power flow. It’s difficult to tell which way its going. Looks like a jumbled shell game. Make the entire line move to show flow. And if you want to get really fancy, change the speed based on high or low flow.

Best app for the best Inverter in the market

I’ve been using this app for a few months now and after the initial learning curve I’ve learned to love the data being right at my fingertips.
That being said, this app isn’t for everyone.
Even with my electrical engineer background
some of the features available in this app were
not exactly intuitive. Once I learned what’s
available in this app I’m amazed how useful it is.
I would suggest to anyone that has a hard time operating their ring cameras maybe stay away from this app. It’s obvious that this app was created by engineers jamming everything they could into it. Anyway it short I find this app is nothing short of amazing approaching 99% perfect. Luckily it is continuing to evolve and improve. Hopefully people will hesitate to leave one star reviews simply because of their ignorance. If this app is too hard for you to understand maybe switch to something more
consumer friendly and watered down like a Victron cerbo GX.
