So it's been a while but after several years of testing it's better to just display the 15 character option all the time, a bit like www.pwapp.io. So that's what we've done. Some performance updates as well from upgrading to latest Swift and changing the build process.

So now when you type “Apple” or “apple” into the service field PW will give you the option to copy a 15 character password.
