Code that looks right is not always code that works. The Python examples here are checked again and again by programmers, with AI as a second pair of eyes.
Tap Run and the real output appears right under the code, so you know it works before it goes into your project. No IDE, no setup, no account.
370+ short examples, one task each, with comments on the tricky parts. Over 90% run in the app with one tap. Names follow PEP 8, and the output shows every value.
You know what you need, but not the exact syntax:
• How do I drop duplicates from a list and keep the order?
• How do I add a month to a date?
• How do I pull a number out of a string with a regex?
Each has a working example here.
• 22 sections, including strings, dicts, classes, generators, match statements, exceptions, files, and design patterns.
• What changed from Python 3.0 to 3.13, with before-and-after code: dict merging with | and |=, f"{x=}", asyncio.run, except*.
• Keyword reference, 200+ entries: tap a word in the code to look it up.
• 200+ SQL queries: JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries, window functions; more than half run on a practice database.
• Search looks inside the code: type defaultdict to find every example that uses it.
• Edit an example and run your version, or write your own.
• Works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
• Everything except running code works offline.
Free version: 320+ examples and queries, the full keyword reference, and 12 runs, 12 edits and up to 12 reference entries a day opened by tapping a word in the code (Python and SQL runs share one count). Full version: all examples and queries, unlimited edits and examples of your own, and up to 30 Python and 80 SQL runs a day. One-time purchase, no subscription.

I just started learning Python, and this app has proven to be absolutely invaluable. The only thing I would suggest is to possibly use dropdowns or accordion style links for the subsections in the sidebar instead of multiple slides. Thank you!
Developer Response
Thanks for your feedback! The idea is good. I'll try to implement it.
Fix the macOS app icon please
georgelmj
The icon is an eyesore. I enjoy using your app but please update the icon to something more visually pleasing.
Developer Response
When I tried to change the application icon, I received many letters asking me not to touch it))I'll try to make it clearer. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏻

It's so weird
Developer Response
Hello, this is really weird. Because this application is often bought. Please try downloading the Python Recipes Pro app.
Great app, terrrible icon change
ajlea2k
Still the same great app, but my god man - what's with the new icon? Yikes.
Developer Response
Thank you for your opinion. There will be no more going back to the blue icon.Orange is a warm color and the bird gives a sense of freedom (recall the open source sensation in terms of coding) and peace.
• Search inside an example: “Find in code” highlights a word in the code and steps through every match.
• Improved support for foldable phones and large screens.
