Chores turned into Quests!
Queststone turns chores and everyday tasks into quests. Make a hero, start a guild with the people you live with (or play solo), and earn XP, gold and levels for getting things done.
QUESTS FOR EVERYONE
Add quests with due dates, steps and repeats. Finish one and watch your hero grow.
GUARDIANS AND PATHFINDERS
Guardians hand out quests and grant seals when a quest is really done. Pathfinders take quests on and earn their rewards.
BOONS: REAL-LIFE TREATS
Guardians offer boons like "Pick Friday's movie". Heroes save their gold and ask for them.
JOURNEYS
Plan family events like Grandma's visit. Each day you finish a journey quest lights up, and the journey's chest grows until it opens when the journey ends.
YOUR HERO, YOUR LOOK
Spend gold in the outfitter on hero looks, companions, borders and banners, and pick the style you like: smooth, pixel or inked.
PLAYS TOGETHER
Guilds sync through iCloud, so everyone sees the same board on their own iPhone or iPad. No separate accounts or passwords.
A little progress. A little magic.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Queststone turns chores, homework and everyday goals into quests for the whole family. Finish quests to earn XP and gold, level up your hero, and spend your gold on new looks. Play solo, or start a guild where guardians (the grown-ups) set quests and pathfinders (the kids) complete them.
This is a big update. Here's what's new.
First look
- New welcome. The first time you open Queststone, you'll see a storybook on a desk in a candlelit room. The cover swings open, the pages turn like real paper, and the last page turns into your quest board. Swipe through a drawer to pick your hero and companion. On iPad, the book lies open across the whole screen.
- Dark Mode. Queststone follows your phone's setting and switches to Night Camp: candlelit parchment on deep forest green.
Rewards
- Streaks now pay. The first quest you finish each day earns 2 gold per day of your streak, up to 20 gold.
- Hit 3, 7, 14, 30, 60 or 100 days for bonus gold and finds (items for your satchel). When your streak says "A reward waits", collect it from Your week.
- Two looks you can only earn, never buy: The Long Watch banner at a 30-day streak and the Hundredfire Ring border at 100.
- The dawnstone. Once a week a crystal shows up. Tap it five times to crack it open and get one of three boosts for the week: 25% more gold, 25% more XP, or far more finds.
- Three new satchel items. Owl's draught: your next quest that day earns double XP. Ember lantern: lights a journey day you missed. Kindred ribbon: your next quest also gives 25 gold to someone in your guild.
Celebrations
- Leveling up lights a beacon. Tap three times to strike the flint and watch the day break.
- Finishing a quest raises your hero's banner with the XP and gold you earned. Seals granted while you were away arrive together in one celebration.
Art
- All 20 badges redrawn as embroidered patches in six shapes. Each one you earn is pressed into its own spot on your sash.
- Every portrait border redrawn by hand. Heroes, companions, banners, guild halls, icons and the lakeside camp are all true pixel art now. Only heroes sit around the campfire.
Quests and journeys
- Repeating quests can repeat on certain days: weekdays, weekends, or days you pick. Each one is due on its day and goes away when the day ends.
- Reminders: turn on Send a raven on a quest and choose when it flies. Dates and times use Queststone's own calendar and clock.
- Asking for a seal (a guardian's sign-off) goes to the guardian who set the quest. After two days, any guardian can answer. Not yet and Grant sit side by side on the seal letter.
- Journeys (quests planned around a family event): hold a quest and drag it to another day. Quests for a later day say which day they're for, and the lit-day note shows what each day added to your chest.
Guilds
- Invitations arrive as sealed letters. Tap the wax seal, then Join or Decline.
- When you sign back in, your own guilds load first. If a change can't reach iCloud, the app tells you and keeps retrying.
Everywhere
- Tap outside any window to close it. If you changed something, it asks to save first.
- On iPad's two-page layout, every tab gets a second page: today's trail by the Quest board, a weekly podium by the Guild, a fitting room by the Shop, and Next to earn by My hero.
- Bigger tap areas (at least 44 points on every button), and text never gets cut off at the largest sizes.
Privacy and safety
- Delete your data in the app: Delete my data on My hero, or Delete everything at the bottom of Settings. When several heroes share a phone, switching to a guardian or deleting asks for Face ID or the passcode.
- A word filter on what you share, Report on other members' hero cards, and community rules in Settings.
- A tip jar in Settings, if you'd like to support Queststone. Tips are a thank-you and unlock nothing.
