RaceVert turns your treadmill into a course-specific simulator for the world's hardest mountain
races. Pick a race, pick a duration, and the app generates a playable timeline of grades, speeds,
and effort cues that mirrors the terrain you're training for.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most treadmill workouts are generic: hills, intervals, fartleks. RaceVert pulls the actual
climb-descent-climb shape of named races and adapts it to your machine. If your treadmill caps at
15%, a 30% wall doesn't disappear — it gets translated into a steeper-than-clipped grade with a
target RPE and slower speed cue, so the effort still matches.

WORKOUT BUILDER
Choose your treadmill profile, set duration (30 minutes to 4 hours), and pick an emphasis:
• Race sampler — balanced tour of the course's terrain
• Climb focus — sustained climbs and steep power-hike work
• Descent focus — downhill rhythm and quad-loading
• Spine repeats — sawtooth climb-descent patterns
• Iconic section — build around the course's hardest block
• Endurance blend — runnable grades for longer sessions
Pick how the app handles grades your treadmill can't reach:
• Clip — caps at the machine's limit
• Effort-compensated — adjusts speed and RPE so the effort still matches
• Preserve shape — keeps the climb-descent rhythm recognizable
GUIDED PLAYER
Each split shows the target grade, speed range, RPE, and a coaching cue. The player tracks remaining
time per segment and previews what's next. The screen stays awake while a workout is running.
Adapted segments display the original race grade alongside the treadmill grade so you know the work
isn't being watered down — it's being translated.
TREADMILL PROFILES
Set up multiple profiles (Standard, Incline Trainer, custom) with grade range, speed range, step
size, and grade-change lag. The app honors what your machine can actually do.
REQUEST A RACE
If a race you want to train for isn't in the library, tap Request and the app composes an email with
the race name, location, and notes. New races get added in updates.
