I have searched everywhere for a minimalist, hyper-simple menubar radio app—I have searched for years, tried them all. I only need to stream one station, maybe a few more, but not essential. I downloaded this app years ago but I was put off by the color icon. I ended up replacing it with the open source Custer, one click and you play or pause the radio stream of your favorite station—pure genius, but it often gave me an error message when trying to resume from sleep. Back to RadioBar and I got used to its icon (I almost like it now), I love that it resumes playing when I open the lid of my Macbook and... it is (mostly) all I wanted. What's missing? What Custer had— I wish I could click on the menubar icon to play/pause my station without opening the pop-up window. I hope the developer will grant my wish. And if that happens… well, I have one suggestion: the icon could turn grey when the stream is paused. (Ah, yeah, custom keyboard shortcuts for each station would be nice too… two wishes then!)

Coming from Linux to MacOS, there’s a few key apps that are must haves. THIS is definitely one! It’s a great replacement for folks used to Linux’s Gnome Radio. I’ve moved over my radio presets to RadioBar and I’m loving it. Thank you!
