Just not good yet…

While I love the content and message from the Ramsey team, this app is disappointing to say the least. It is riddled with bugs that change the speed of the audio, change chapters, and completely restart the book from the beginning. The UI is clunky at best. For instance when listening when driving in my car, when I switch apps to Apple Maps and have the audiobook in the background, it restarts the book from the beginning. Features I find common on other audiobook apps are completely absent. I really want this app to succeed to spread the messages the Ramsey team has to offer, but as of today, it’s not there.

The books are great, but the app…?

If I stop listening to a book for a long period like a day, the app will not easily go back to where I was in the book. It will usually just sit there and spin. I will have to go out of the book and come back in. Most of the time that won’t even work. I’ll have to quit the app and then come back in and fiddle with it some more. Basically it’s a chore to resume a book after not using it for a while. It’s not my wireless either. I can be looking at my router 6 feet away and it will still do it. It’s really a pain if I get in my car and I want to leave…now. If I want to quickly start a book, I won’t be able to.

Bad App - Good Books

Is there an alternate to listen to these books without using this app? Some audiobooks will download. Other audiobooks will not download, they just keep “trying”. I’ve deleted the app several times, redownload it, logged in and still only certain books will download for offline listening.

I contacted customer service with a detailed explanation which clearly wasn’t read by the agent who gave me a cut and past response on how to download the audiobooks.

Please make your audiobooks available on other apps that actually work.
