RangeTrace now starts again by itself after the App Store updates it, or if it ever quits unexpectedly, so your alerts keep coming. This begins with the next update: after this one installs, open RangeTrace once. Opening RangeTrace again while it is running now brings up its Settings window. If you use MistBar, the RangeTrace dropdown now opens under its own icon again after MistBar quits.

Time-Sensitive alerts now really are Time-Sensitive. Before this update, macOS quietly turned them into standard alerts, so none could get through a Focus such as Do Not Disturb. Settings > Alerts now explains, once, how to let Time-Sensitive alerts through a Focus, and keeps the steps under Delivery with a button that opens Focus settings. Do Not Disturb holds them until its Time Sensitive Notifications switch is on (Focus > Do Not Disturb > Allowed Apps). Signing in to Dexcom in Settings > Account now keeps what you typed, shows the region you chose, and no longer blames your connected account when a different sign-in fails. Settings > More now lists more apps from SKJ APPS. The Settings window now opens centred the first time.

When macOS has notifications or Launch at login turned off for RangeTrace, Settings now shows what is missing, with steps for your version of macOS and a button that takes you straight to the right place. The message goes away by itself once it is fixed. New Report a Bug and Contact Support buttons in Settings > About. The menu bar icon and every switch in Settings now work with VoiceOver, Voice Control and Switch Control. The dropdown now closes when you open Settings from it, and pressing Escape closes it. On macOS 14 and 15, the Settings sidebar now shows every page, and the dropdown opens centred under the icon every time. Settings now fits on smaller screens, and text that used to be cut off now shows in full. If the App Store needs a moment to confirm your purchase, RangeTrace now waits for it and shows a small window while it checks.

RangeTrace now appears under System Settings > Notifications again, so you can reach its alert controls even if alerts were already switched on. Previously the app only asked for notification permission when you turned alerts on, which meant it never claimed its own Notifications page. The menu bar popover now stays centred under the reading on macOS 27, including when another menu bar app rearranges the bar while the popover is open.

This update improves Dexcom sign-in reliability. When Dexcom's servers return a brief, temporary error during sign-in, RangeTrace now retries automatically instead of showing "Incorrect username or password" for a password that is actually correct. Recovery after a dropped connection is smoother, and background updates are gentler on Dexcom's servers.

This update refreshes the app icon, adds a Help menu that opens the online support page, and fixes a rare false signal-lost alert that could appear right after your Mac wakes from sleep.
