Re:Mapping turns your travel photos into a map by connecting their locations in chronological order. You don't need to track your location live or keep the app running during your trip. Pick your travel dates to find photos with location data from those days and connect them on the map.
Features
• Find trips by date: choose your travel dates to find photos stored on your device that have location data and display them on the map in chronological order.
• A map of your photos: see photo thumbnail markers, the route between them, and a map for each day.
• Segments and transport: see the straight-line distance and elapsed time between photos, with an estimated mode of transport such as walking, driving, train, or plane. You can adjust the estimated transport mode.
• Place names and corrected locations: choose a name for where a photo was taken from nearby place suggestions, and fix a photo's location if it is wrong. Your original photo is not changed, and saved places are managed in Settings.
• Multi-day trips: view each day on its own, and merge separate trips into one.
• Supports dark mode, dynamic type, and English and Korean.
Privacy
• No account. Photo files are never uploaded, and your trips, saved places and corrected locations are stored only on this device.
• To show the map, the app downloads map tiles from OpenFreeMap. When you look up a place name, its coordinates may be sent to Apple's map service and an OpenStreetMap search server.
• Works with limited photo access, using only the photos you select.
Good to know
• Only photos with location data appear on the map. iCloud photos that are not downloaded to the device are skipped.
• Distances are the sum of straight lines between photo locations and may differ from the distance you actually traveled.
• Segment times are the differences between photo capture times. They may include time spent at a location and may differ from actual travel times.
