One a week, I scan my data into the QR app. I tried today and lo and behold, I can’t find the app. I search the App Store and find a completely different app name. So I open the app and it asks for my login.

I check my password management program and never saw a login under previous companies like Luna Bmc G3 or whatever. I don’t even remember creating an account. I tried resetting under the same email address I used for 20 years. It said it couldn’t find anything.

I then created a new account and had no data. I did scan my icode+ QR and luckily I recovered everything I had on my history. As others said the communication was horrible. But at least I was able to recover my data. If I knew this was so difficult, I probably would have went with Remed for my BI-PAP.

About once a month I try to do a scan of my CPAP and I find I am logged out, so it won’t keep me logged in. That’s the first issue. Then when I try to login, it tells me my info is incorrect. That’s the second issue. Then it does a face scan and gets a green checkmark, but still makes me enter all the info again, which it still says is incorrect. That’s the third issue. And I go in that circle over and over like Groundhog Day. So I have to go to “forgot password” and set up a new one. That’s the fourth issue. It’s really a hassle and it’s hard to believe anyone with any coding experience at all did this app.

Same experience as other users no doubt. I went to scan the barcode on my CPAP and, lo and behold, the old app has been replaced with a completely new one. After digging through my old passwords I gave up and created a new account.

The proper way to handle these kinds of rollouts is to communicate with users ahead of time, notify them when breaking changes are coming before blindsiding them randomly. Push notifications, In-app notifications, Emails, Texts, Automated Phone Calls, Snail Mail… anything other than pulling the rug out on your customers.
