My son's favorite game was Fruit Ninja and I was getting increasingly frustrated with having my son waste a lot of time on a fun but mindless game while he was still struggling to learn how to read. So I decided to create yet another slicing game with three letter words to help my son learn to read while playing his favorite game. My sons skills in recognizing three letter words have dramatically improved since he started playing this game and now I no longer have to feel guilty when I need a five minute break to take care of the laundry or prepare lunch for the kids. I know that they are having fun and that they are learning at the same time. Warning: Your child will keep begging for your iPhone or iPad after they try this app. Reading Ninja is an exciting educational game that helps kids rapidly learn to read three letter words by sight, sound, and touch. Fun, and the price is right. This app helps kids learn to read three letter CVC words and can be set to three different speeds to adjust difficulty. You can also select which short vowels to practice from the word lists. Good for Kindergartners and early first graders.Next--please make a Ninja for sight words. I'd buy it in a hot second!

Wow, what fun to learn appropriate iPad finger movement as you are entertained by learning to read!! Once again, this teacher of the visually impaired loves the contrast between the background and letters presented, the letter thickness, size & color, and that it is customizable for speed & the number of words presented simultaneously. The lowercase (small) letter j is not curved at the bottom, & this could cause some confusion. Thank you for combining accessible learning with appropriate swiping fun---all in one.:-)

It is definitely fun. My son loves the other ABC Ninja and Numbers Ninja apps. This app would be wonderful if you could add your own words. My son is learning to read 3 letter words, but some of the ones he is working on are not included. We would use it daily as part of our homeschool if i could customize it. The last thing is, I really don't like the 3 finger parental control feature. It always takes me multiple tries to get into it. Very frustrating most of the time.

This is a fun game. I would like to add my own words though. I like how the words spin and the swiping sounds. The incorrect sound is also just the right level. Many of my students enjoy the wrong sound more so than the correct sounds and try to get items wrong on purpose.
