ReadToCam turns your iPhone into a video camera with a built-in teleprompter. Read your script on the same screen where you see yourself and record with a more direct, confident and natural gaze.
Tap record, the countdown begins and your script starts scrolling automatically. During the take, you can adjust the speed, pause or resume the text, and drag the script to the exact point where you want to continue.

Paste your text, press record, and the video is already in your camera roll. No timeline, no layers, no exporting, nothing to set up before you start. If you have ever used the camera on your phone, you already know how to use ReadToCam.

No account is required. Your scripts and settings stay on your iPhone. ReadToCam includes no ads, tracking or third-party analytics services.
With the front camera, the preview is mirrored so it feels familiar. By default, the saved video is not mirrored, so any text visible in the shot remains readable.

FLUFFED A LINE? NO NEED TO START OVER
Until now, stumbling meant recording the whole take again. From this version, when you get it wrong, drag the script back to the sentence and say it again. ReadToCam remembers where you were and saves the video without the part you repeated, cut at the nearest silence so the join is not heard. It can happen as many times as you need within the same take, and when you finish you can still choose to keep the whole thing.
YOUR TAKES, INSIDE THE APP
There is now a gallery of your own for watching how your takes came out and deleting the ones you don't need, without leaving for Photos.
AND A FEW MORE THINGS
As you drag the script, sentences catch like a magnet and you feel a tick for each one that goes by, so it takes less effort to leave it exactly where you want. There is also a new tip explaining how to repeat a line, because it is the one thing in the app nobody discovers on their own.
