Red String is a little thread between two phones: yours and the person you love. No feed, no followers, no chat to keep up with. Just the two of you. SHARE HOW YOU'RE DOING Set your status in two taps: pick a mood, or say it in your own words with any emoji. Your person sees it instantly on their Home Screen, and you see theirs. It's the digital version of a glance across the room. SEND A NUDGE One tap on "Thinking of you" taps them on the shoulder. A gentle notification that says nothing and means everything. MOMENTS, NOT MESSAGES Send a photo from your day, a doodle drawn with your finger, or a short voice memo. Whatever you send lands on their phone, on their widget, and in a shared history you can wander back through together. Every doodle and "good morning" kept. DRAW SOMETHING SILLY The built-in canvas comes with colours, backgrounds and a big eraser for when the heart goes wrong. Doodles made with love look better than any sticker pack. WIDGETS EVERYWHERE • A Home Screen widget with the last photo or doodle they sent you • Both of your statuses, side by side, on the Lock Screen or Home Screen • A nudge heart you can tap without even opening the app • A badge when a voice memo is waiting for you CELEBRATE THE BIG DAYS Mark a status as a celebration and their next app open greets them with a little moment made just for them. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There are no Red String servers and no accounts to create. Everything you share syncs through your own iCloud: status text is end-to-end encrypted, and photos, doodles and voice memos are protected by CloudKit encryption. No analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your relationship is none of our business. HOW PAIRING WORKS One of you creates an invite link and sends it to the other, that's it. The link stops working the moment your person joins, and you can unlink (or delete everything) at any time from Settings. Red String is for couples in the same apartment and couples an ocean apart. Anyone who wants the answer to "how are they doing right now?" without asking. One string. Two phones.
