What's New in Version 1.5 Game Center support added — Speed Run best times now submit to the global leaderboard. Compete for the fastest run across all players. The fretboard reference button now grays out automatically during Speed Run and screensaver modes to reflect when it isn't available. The settings tab has been renamed from PLAY to OPTIONS, and the Sequential lesson style label has been corrected. The in-app guide has been fully rewritten with clear descriptions of both consoles, all lesson styles, scoring, controls, and menu tabs.

Chord mode: wrong answer no longer corrupts state When you hit a wrong note in chord mode, the strings you already answered correctly stay visible. Previously a wrong answer wiped all your progress on the current chord. Chord mode: E string validation fixed The game now correctly validates both the note and the string you played. Previously you could answer on the wrong string and it would still count. Chord mode: button flash cleanup on restart Buttons no longer keep flashing after you restart the game mid-round. Chord mode: pentatonic to chord transition fixed When the pentatonic reveal phase ended and the chord phase began, stale note boxes from the pentatonic phase were bleeding through. Now the transition is clean. Chord mode: repetition counter fixed The countdown now works correctly. One repetition means completing the full scale sequence — all chord stages through to the end. The counter ticks down by one each time you do that. When it hits zero, the game advances to the next fret. Previously the counter was being reset by the timer on every tick, so it never actually counted down. Chord mode: neck now shifts to the new fret after completing a stage When you finished a chord stage, the neck was staying at the old fret position. Fixed. Startup audio clipping fixed The first note played after launching the app was clipping. All samplers are now gain-staged below unity at startup, and a silent priming note is played to warm up the audio hardware. Audio engine crash fixed The app was crashing when the Audio button was pressed under certain conditions — specifically when the iOS audio system had been interrupted or overloaded. The engine now restarts itself before attempting to play, and automatically recovers after phone calls, Siri, or any other system interruption.
