draw with references

Free

iPad

refs is a simple app for drawing with references. You import your own images, set a timer, and draw. When the timer ends, you move on. Later, you can look back at your sketches and see how your practice builds up over time. It’s designed for everyday drawing, including warm-ups, gesture studies, anatomy practice, and short focused sessions when you don’t want distractions. What you can do • Import your own reference images • Draw from them using a timer • Review and mark up past sketches • Keep track of your practice over time refs doesn’t include built-in reference libraries and it doesn’t try to teach you how to draw. It just gives you a clean space to practice with your own material. All your data stays on your device. refs doesn’t require an account and doesn’t upload anything. You can export your data anytime and take it with you if you switch devices.
