The app lets you manage your personal library of soundscapes to be used for sound therapy, one of the most common therapies to minimize the effects of tinnitus. Either listen to the default soundscapes of create your own from a collection of environmental sounds and small pieces of music.

To help you cope with your tinnitus, Relief also provides different activities to relax and get better sleep such as guided meditations, breathing exercises and imagery.

The Learn section will teach you more information about what is tinnitus, what are the causes of tinnitus, common therapies as well as tips to help you better deal with the effects of your tinnitus.

My Relief will help you to create a personalized plan to teach you manage your tinnitus. Just answer some questions about your tinnitus and the issues that bother you the most, and ReSound Tinnitus Relief will create a weekly plan to help you train managing your tinnitus.

Just download ReSound Tinnitus Relief and listen to it as you normally listen to music from your smart phone.

The app is a tool for anyone who has tinnitus. It should be used in combination with a tinnitus management programme or plan set up by a hearing care professional.

Can’t thank you enough

I can’t thank you enough for creating this app. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Being able to use and combine different sounds to create a custom sound to mask my tinnitus is wonderful. And the help and info about tinnitus on the app is great too. Thank you so much for creating this. It’s a lifesaver for me. If you have tinnitus, you should get this app!

Almost there!

My tinnitus has gotten worse and worse as I’ve gotten older. Sometimes it clicks, sometimes it squeals and sometimes it roars. My audiologist has me download this app along with the one for my hearing aids. If it’s clicking, the rain/fire combination is great. Pink noise and crowd sounds cancel the roar. I’m still tweaking the one for squeal, trying to find the right combination of sounds, but I’m definitely getting there.

I really wish the app had its own volume control; right now the only way to control the volume of the sound combinations I create is by turning down each one, which is a pain.

Worthless App

The app is incompatible via bluetooth with my Resound LINX2 hearing aids and iPhone 8. Resound LINX2 hearing aids are the standard hearing aids issued by the VA for hearing loss and tinnitus relief. While the main ReSound app controls my hearing aids well, this app has no connectivity to them whatsoever. The only way of using this app is through the iPhone speakers, which of course disturbs others.

Developer Response ,

Hi Deltavee 7772,

Thanks for reaching out, your ReSound LINX2 hearing aids are audio streaming ready, so it might be an issue of selecting the right audio output on your iPhone, to be able to stream the soundscape. The connection setup is a bit different between controlling the hearing aids vs. streaming sound to the hearing aids, but we can help you on this.

Please reach out to appsupport@resound.com for further support, we want to make sure you get the full benefit out of both the hearing aids and the apps.

Best,
ReSound Relief Team
