Dropped my Bank for this
Excellent customer support (if you’re pro, else you have to wait days, but hey, free means no priority support). Had no issues whatsoever except for 2 times they had problems with their payment processor. I could pay, but transactions were reverted and after a few days corrected.
They have still growing pains, you should have a backup, I’m all in for 4 months and I love it. This is the future.
Also support via chat is so convenient as you can answer later and don’t have to stay on the line to get help. You also can send screenshots. Very helpful.
Beware that the pro version binds you to a 12 month contract.
Your money is secure and guaranteed by 2 London banks and Apple Pay is coming later this year.
Sorry US customers, as they are rate limiting subscribers. Don’t be paranoid it’s not a scam, they just can’t roll up infrastructure so fast. I imagine it will take another 6 months.
Money stolen, support as none.
Premium? No, thanks. Before anyone signs for premium... think twice and read on. I was a big fan and promoter of Revolut since the very begining, signing up many friends. After moving to another conutry i chose the premium service and black account, which worked fine till i went on a trip... leaving for 800 km long trip i took with me my revo black card to be used as primary one. I charged it as needed. Worked fine on day 1 and 2, on day 3 my balance went low and i recharged from another card... and it happened. Account got charged and locked and i was instructed to chat. Getting support took almost AN HOUR. And they could do nothing, just offered a number of excuses. Account with all money was blocked and i was left in the middle of Italy, some 400 km from home. Support was incompetent, not wishing to resolve the thing immediately, but instructing to check it in a couple of days. Now, 2 days after i am still without my funds that i placed to revolut account... waiting. If i hadn’t got a backup card ... i would stay in foreign country without any money due to “sophiaticated security system” and priority black account support. My money is practically stolen and no one cared. Shame... so unless you want to experience an immediate fund shortage... i advise to check n26, monese or any other providers, that care for customers even without charging them almost 15 euros a month for a service, that is later not preforming!
I cannot open the app
After the last update, I cannot open the app at all. I started out really liking Revolut, however an accumulation of different issues over time make me question if it's worth keeping around. I'm always told to invite my friends, but they've been on wait-lists very quite literally for a year and a half now. Whenever I need customer service, which I really try to avoid, they're really unhelpful and even gave me poor attitude once, creating issues that I had never inquired on and implying that I was being unreasonable when I had a simple question and asked for a simple answer. Now, the app doesn't even go past the first screen when I try to open it, freezing after putting in my pin. I had much higher hopes for this brand, and I'm rather disappointed as I feel that over time it keeps getting worse, and it promises more than what it can deliver on.
