Highly impressed

Good on you Rhodes 101! For a smaller business you made a relatively complex app that functions as it should. Worked like a charm on my first fill-up! The reason it’s not 5 Stars instead, is mainly due in part to the app not allowing you to see gas prices at the various stations near your location. I think this is definitely a must-have feature, and it saves the user from having to use an app like gas-buddy. If you change anything about the app, please keep this near the top of your list.

Good idea. Terrible Execution

Pros: Direct payments with Plaid pays back as a discount on gas. Cons: Every time I connect my bank and go to another screen, bank info is cleared. Whenever I try to launch a pump usage in the app I get an error. Screen resolution not optimized for iPhones without home button. Letterboxing on top and bottom like app from 2017. Lots of room for improvement. Will be looking forward to using the new app once functional. Please test before releasing.

I see a bunch of positive reviews and also see that employees were the only ones that got early access. I see a bunch of unflinching praise and then there is a clear line and all the negative reviews come in. My assumption (speculation) is that a significant amount of perfect reviews came from employees.

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We are aware of an issue with certain banks on Plaid including US Bank, USAA, Wells Fargo and we are working to have this fixed in a future update but if you have a different bank that is causing this issue please let us know at mobile@rhodes101.com.

The fueling process is slightly different than if you were using a physical credit card in that the app portion of the fueling process must be completed first before lifting the pump handle and selecting a fuel grade. We’ve added a pop up message that better explains the fueling process for new app customers.
We have made some resolution fixes so that a phone with zoom settings turned on does not affect the app, but if you are still having issues please email us at mobile@rhodes101.com so we can fix!
Before our rollout to the general public we tested the app with both employees and a select group of customers in order to find bugs and to train our teams so it is possible that this group left reviews, although most reviews were placed after our go-live date. Thank you for your feedback!

Terrible

The app used to work fine for me. Now, I always get errors when trying to use it for fueling, the location never works and it will tell me I’m at a different store than the one I’ll actually be sitting at, also, the new version of sending out promos via text stinks. It used to send out a link to a barcode. Now, it sends out a link but the link takes me to the Rhodes app in a browser page instead of the actual app on my phone and I have to authorize my phone every single time. I used to use those promo codes but not anymore. Forcing people to jump through hoops and requiring them to buy online instead of in store is ridiculous.
I love Rhodes, but this app and the promo system is messed up.
