Add a song and Riffwise finds its chords, key, tempo and sections. Loop the hard part, slow it down, mute the vocals, drums or bass, and play along.
Riffwise works out any song you add, right on your iPhone, and turns it into something you can practise.
CHORDS, KEY AND TEMPO
Add an audio file or a video and Riffwise finds the chords bar by bar, the key, the tempo and where the verses and choruses are. Watch the chord change as the song plays, with the next one coming and a beat count to the change.
PRACTISE THE HARD PART
• Loop any bars, snapped to the beat
• Slow down to half speed without changing the pitch
• Transpose up or down, or add a capo and see easier shapes
• Click along on the song's own beats, with a count-in
MUTE ANY PART OF THE BAND
Separate a song into vocals, drums, bass and everything else, then mute the part you want to play yourself or solo it to learn it. Remove the vocals to sing along, or remove the bass to play the bass line.
EVERY CHORD SHAPE
Diagrams for guitar, ukulele and piano for every chord in the song, including left-handed guitar. Simple-chords mode turns sevenths and suspensions into the basic shape while you learn.
A LESSON FOR EVERY SONG
Ask for a practice plan and Apple Intelligence writes one for the song's actual chords: what the progression is doing, steps from easy to full speed, and tips for the tricky shapes. Only the chords, key and tempo are used, never the audio.
LISTEN AND TUNE
Play near your iPhone and Listen names the chords as you play, with the key and tempo. A built-in tuner covers guitar and ukulele.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Songs are analysed on your iPhone and are never uploaded. No account, no ads, no tracking.
