RIVET is a native app for time tracking and invoicing — for freelancers, tradespeople and small offices who write their hours and send their invoices. The core in three words: WORK → CLICK → RIVETED. You work, you track the time with one click, and when you invoice, the entry becomes “riveted”: fixed, unchangeable, billed. Whatever is not riveted stays open, and open time you bill in full or in part. Partial invoices are the normal case here, not the exception. ONE APP ON EVERY DEVICE Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch share the same records through your private iCloud. The full feature set at your desk, the timer on the move: in the Mac menu bar, by global keyboard shortcut, in the iPhone toolbar or on your wrist. At most one timer runs per company, whichever device started it. TIME TRACKING THAT THINKS • The timer from seven entry points, the same one everywhere. • Add times by hand when the timer was forgotten. • Day view with four figures: entries, total, revenue, open. • Stored to the second, rounded only when you invoice: once per project and calendar day. Three five-minute entries on the same day make 15 minutes, not 45. • Emergency stop: a forgotten timer is capped at the maximum duration you set, not at “now”. • Pins for recurring work (“Travel”, “Meeting”, “Installation”) with their own rate and invoice text. Name and rate are frozen at the start; renaming never changes old entries. INVOICES THAT LAST • Invoice selectively: customer → project → individual entries. • PDF preview before issuing; the invoice number is used up only after the export. • VAT with several rates, a no-VAT option for small businesses, payment terms, flat-rate items. • Every issued invoice is frozen — company, customer, line items and layout. Change your address tomorrow and yesterday’s invoice still looks like yesterday — and you re-export it from the archive by customer, year and month. YOUR LAYOUT, NOT MINE The layout editor places the building blocks to the millimeter: logo, sender, address, line items, totals, footer. Your own templates per company, with preview. On Mac, iPhone and iPad. ORDER THAT HOLDS • Customers and projects with color, symbol, note and presets. • Archive instead of delete — and a real, confirmed deletion path when it has to be. • Backups per customer or for the whole app, with rotation and restore. • Several companies side by side, kept apart, switched in the sidebar. AS A TEAM Individual projects can be shared with co-workers over iCloud. You decide per project what the other side sees — hourly rate and revenue can stay out of it. Invitations go through your contacts, with no extra account. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS RIVET has no server of its own. Everything lives on your devices and in your private iCloud database. No sign-up, no ads, no tracking, no third party reading your numbers. FREE AND PRO Free: one company, one customer, one project — enough to try RIVET in a real working week. Existing data stays reachable: the limit only blocks creating, never access. Rivet Pro lifts the limits: archiving, backup export and import, your own invoice layouts, shared projects for the team.
