RoadNotes: Voice Notes
Hands-free notes while driving
Free · In‑App Purchases
Open RoadNotes in CarPlay and it's already listening. Talk while you drive; read the transcript, a summary and your to-do list when you park.
Your best ideas come while you drive. RoadNotes catches them hands-free in CarPlay and turns them into notes you can read when you park: the full transcript, a one-line summary and a to-do list.
Open RoadNotes in CarPlay and it's already listening. Just talk. When you stop talking, it saves the note by itself and tells you out loud. No typing, no menus, nothing to read on the road.
MADE FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK BEHIND THE WHEEL
Commuters, sales reps, contractors, truck drivers, founders and busy parents: anyone who thinks of something while driving and has forgotten it by the time they park. Use it for voice memos, meeting prep, shopping lists, reminders, new ideas or a daily voice journal.
HANDS-FREE IN THE CAR
• Opens straight into listening in CarPlay: one screen with a Stop and a Cancel button.
• Auto-stop saves the note after 5 to 60 seconds of silence, or tap Stop.
• A spoken "Note saved" after every note, so your eyes stay on the road.
• Start a note with Siri: "Start a new note in RoadNotes."
SPEECH TO TEXT ON YOUR IPHONE
• Voice-to-text transcription runs on your iPhone, and works offline after a one-time setup.
• Apple Intelligence writes a one-line summary and turns the action items into a checklist (on iPhones that support it).
• Tap play to hear any note read aloud.
• Filter by today or last week, archive what's done, and share to Messages, Mail, Notes or Reminders.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your voice is transcribed on your iPhone and never uploaded.
• The recording is deleted as soon as it's transcribed.
• No account, no ads, no tracking.
NEARLY 100 LANGUAGES
RoadNotes recognizes the language you speak each time, or set yours once so it never guesses.
FREE FOR 10 DAYS, THEN PAY ONCE
Every feature is free for 10 days, with no sign-up. Then unlock RoadNotes forever with a single purchase: no subscription, and nothing is ever charged automatically. Your notes stay readable even if you don't buy.
Requires iOS 26.4 or later. Summaries need an iPhone with Apple Intelligence; on other iPhones every note is saved as the full transcript. CarPlay requires a compatible car. Always drive safely and follow local laws.

Now on Apple Watch, and on all your devices.
• Apple Watch: tap New note on your watch and just talk. The recording goes to your iPhone, which transcribes and summarizes it, and your wrist taps when it's saved. Start a note from a watch-face complication or with Siri, too.
• iCloud sync: notes and settings now sync automatically through your own private iCloud. Record in the car, read it later on another device, and get a new iPhone with every note already on it. Your recordings are never uploaded: each one is deleted from your iPhone once it's transcribed, and only the written notes sync, kept securely in your private iCloud, which we can't access.
• Delete all notes: a new option in Settings clears every note on all your devices, after you confirm.
• A tidier note screen: Share is now a simple icon, so the date and play button have room.
• A new app icon that matches the RoadNotes logo.
