The ROMI Method® makes developments recognizable before they occur: in companies, organizations, communities and in your own life. It emerged from around thirty years of operational practice and shows how to stay capable of acting in unclear situations, and which decisions remain with people even when machines could take them over.
This app brings the method to your device. In two parts:
ANALYSIS TOOL
Create a situation and take it through the method in 15 steps: the six dimensions of the analysis (Sender, Recipient, Place, Time, Intensity, Event phase), the four ATOM questions of the response (Assignment, Technology, Organization, Manpower) and the five steps of efficiency (question, delete, optimize, condition, automate). Guiding questions from practice for every step. The result is a situation picture you can export and share as PDF.
ACTION PLAN
The situation picture becomes an action plan: goal, technology, organization and roles, each in the range from the optimum (cost and resources are no object) to the minimum (the goal is just about reached). The app compares the time window with the reaction time and shows whether the goal can be reached in time. Enter new information at any time: the previous situation is kept as its own status, and the situation picture and plan are updated. All situations stay in your archive.
LEARNING PROGRAM
Fourteen lessons explain the method from the ground up: the four letters, the six dimensions, the four phases (the New, Learning, Preparation, Operation), early signals, ATOM, the five steps, the analytical fact-finding interview and a complete case study. Plus a ready-made example situation: a village’s alert plan for 72 hours without power. Knowledge questions after each lesson show whether the key points have sunk in.
EXERCISES UNDER TIME PRESSURE
Four exercises from leadership seminars, with countdown: the crisis exercise “The 11:47 report”, the reporting standard “Observation, assessment, proposal”, the perception exercise “Three sources, one event” and the alert-plan mapping of the five dependencies. Each exercise ends with a debriefing along ATOM; the result can go to your archive.
