Description

Rotor is a full-featured antenna rotor control app for macOS. It can control up to 9 rotors. It is able to track stations and satellites automatically with both azimuth and elevation and currently supports SPID, Yaesu (GS-232A/B), DCU-1, EasyComm, Green Heron and Prosistel rotor protocols. In connection with the Ham Radio Logger RumLogNG or WSJT-X Rotor can control your antenna direction fully automatically.
Rotor predicts satellites passes for the next seven days for your location and calculates sked times for a given satellite to a dx location. It shows positions, footprints and ground tracks on a 2D or 3D map.

What’s New

Version 1.7

Since the Green Heron RT-21 Azimuth controller has a (W)LAN option, a network control option for this controller was added.

Works Great

Working FB using the GS-232B protocol via a USBserial port to interface with a RemoteQTH box which controls an old Alliance HD73. If that doesn't span the tecnnology ages nothing does! I'd pay money for this! The last link in the chain to allow me to go All Mac All the Time!

Developer Response ,

You can prepare multiple backgrounds and just drag and drop another map
in to the azimuth window.

No Rotor Control

I have a custom AZ/EL Rotator that adheres strictly to the GS-232A protocol. Works great with MacDoppler Pro and many other GS-232 enabled controllers. Port connects fine, but no polling to read rotator position and commands are either not recieved or incorrectly formatted for GS-232A.

Developer Response ,

You should contact the app author to get support for your custom rotator.
