Royal Match 12+

This game is very clearly pay to win. I would do just fine on levels, get through okay. Some levels labeled “Hard” or “Super Hard” felt appropriately difficult. I’m through all the regular levels now and into what they call “Royal League.” The difficulty of these levels is not consistent. I’ll get through a Hard, Super Hard level with minimal lives used. However, currently I’m on a random level that is not marked as being difficult. My first try, I had TWO sets of two SUPER light balls. That’s one set of two super light balls, I combined for a double wave. Then another set of two showed up that I combined for a second wave. I had two other super light ball + power up combos as well. And I’ll tell you, even with that I wasn’t even close to justifying using the 900 coins for a dismal 5 moves. I was more than 5 moves from a win even with those combos. The piece patterns were falling noticeably different/made no power ups. I think it’s because I hit level 85 on the Balloon Rise meter. Pay attention to your levels and how often you win. Like a casino, you’ll see the game start to genuinely tilt away from letting you have an advantage so that you’ll get frustrated and put up money to win. I just play until I’m out of lives and then come back later. It’s not worth anything more than that.

The game isn’t a 4.7 reviewed game. It’s been hard locked at that exact number for years despite the drop in player count and mass amount of negative reviews. Easy to see the fake reviews created to keep the number at 4.7 for ads. This game is your bog standard Candy Crush ripoff but they learned how to attract more players through false advertisement! The ads you see of the King’s Dream are not in the game. You do get a King’s Dream after decorating each level. However, the gameplay is just the same thing you have been playing in normal rounds! No cool 3D puzzles with intricate path to create. In fact, the Dreams have very little variety. It’s either he’s trying to get out a door before something squishes him or he’s stuck in a room with a time limit. No water to figure out how to drain before he drowns. No rocks the king is holding up while you figure out how to displace the weight. Nothing like that. Otherwise, it has its entertainment value for a few weeks. Then it’s super repetitive and has you bog standard 3 piece match cheating. You will not get the pieces you need to even complete the levels. As in, they require 6 flowers to make it to the bottom but will never spawn the 5th flower let alone the sixth one. This is attempt to get you to buy their boosts. However, no need to spend money! They give you free boasts every day and you will max out every boast before the game is impossible to finish.

I absolutely love this game and play it more than I should. However, I am confused at the ads I see for the game while playing other things. You advertise all these great mini-games with water and snakes and fire but I continually get the same mini-games over and over. Im at a high level (9300+) so I’ve been playing for a long while and keep thinking that I’ll get to play all those fun games eventually but they never come. A couple of ideas: 1) rotate those fun games into the mix because we get bored with the same ones over and over. 2) Credit more than 50 coins the higher you go…I quit doing them after I saw the same one about 5 times. I’ll check to see if its something new before I skip it, but if it’s the same one, it’s not worth wasting my time for 50 coins. 3) When we have lives left at the end of a particularly hard level, let us bank some of them to use later. For example, if we have 5+ lives left, let us bank 3 or 4 of them to use when we only need one or two to finish a level. We’ve earned them, after all.

**Added: I just passed 9451 and still had to endure (although I skipped it) the same boring “kitchen fire” nightmare. Where are the snakes? Where are the heavy bananas? Where are the crazy tunnels? Im ready to pack it up and stop playing. You may not have ads but if it’s boring, it doesn’t really matter.
