RubyEyesMobile is an OCR tool that generates furigana and translation for Japanese* text aimed at students that want to increase immersion and speed up learning. Instead of translating and covering the original kanji we keep it and generate text boxes for readings (furigana) and translation under the main text.
Unlike the macOS version this version uses the iPhone camera to translate signs menus and physical text, it can be useful for translating video game text dialog, don't miss any opportunity to learn.
You can keep track of the words and save them for study in a randomized quiz, you can also share them and import them.
RubyEyes works offline, it includes Japanese and a basic Korean and Chinese dictionaries but with the Pro version you unlock online translation powered by Google Translate that gives you more accurate contextual translation and support for additional languages.
*Currently it only supports Japanese horizontal text and there is limited support for Chinese and Korean.
**A membership is necessary for contextual accurate translation but the app can operate with limited capabilities offline.

Fixed issue generating furigana where some words with more than one kanji were receiving individual per kanji furigana and not the proper pronunciation.
