Good concept but app is inconsistent

I love being able to refill my prescriptions at my small, local pharmacy with the touch of a button via an app. It is 2024 after all.

The app itself needs work. It is quite inconsistent and could definitely use some improvements. A few things I would like to point out are:

-after requesting a refill, I do get an email confirmation. But that email doesn’t list the medication(s) I requested, just that I made the request. Would be nice if the email confirmation listed the meds.

-when logging into the app after requesting a refill, sometimes it will show on the home page a link to view the status of the refill, sometimes not. It’s incredibly annoying. When I don’t see that status option it makes me wonder if the request even made it to my pharmacy.

-there is no alert or notification when my medication is ready to be picked up (I have all notifications enabled). It’s especially troublesome when I am unable to see the status of my refill as mentioned in the last point. I just have to guess and go to the pharmacy. There have been many times when I get there only to be told my refill isn’t ready yet or is still waiting Dr approval.

-no option in the app to provide feedback, hence having to do it here, in a review.

Helping independent pharmacies compete

Love the concept, it basically seems to do what I need. And I’m so happy my local independent pharmacy has this tool to add some of the convenience of the big corporations. I love my local pharmacy. I get fantastic, caring service from professionals who know my family’s medications and who will advise me directly about important side effects or drug interactions instead of making it my job to read the dense info included. But it feels like an early version of the app. I would like to support the developers with useful feedback without trashing the app in a review. Please allow in app feedback and a feedback channel on the website. Also, better documentation on the website would help. My husband is having trouble creating an account. He entered his correct information but was told it doesn’t match what the pharmacy has on file, which cannot be true. Also I’m trying to add family members. It asks for their Rx number. What is that? How do I discover or obtain one for them? Maybe explain more fully how to do something like that on the website. All you do there is step through the really obvious path as set forth in the app. So, I’d say communication with the developers and ways to get questions answered in more detail would be the first major change to make.

Trash app

It makes you do half the work on your phone’s web browser, which makes you need to authenticate again after already having authenticated in the app. Then, if you are trying to click the “you have a medication to refill” notification, you have to figure out which of the medications on the list it was talking about. Plus, it doesn’t bother to consolidate prescriptions that are the same drug, so when your refills on a med go to zero and the doctor writes another prescription for it, that’s now two entries on the list. My pharmacy used to use an app with their name on it that was amazing, but I guess quality costs too much, so they changed to this one size fits none piece of garbage. I’ve used the message feature in this app and asked a question, days later I just called the pharmacy to ask it. Found out they did supposedly answer me through the app, but I never saw it.

Seriously, if your pharmacy uses this app, you’ll be better off just using your phone to call them with questions and to get a refill. Make them understand that by choosing to use this app that they’ll only get more phone calls when this app fails to work properly.
