Same Spot Camera - Progress
Progress photos from one angle
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your previous photo shows through the camera as a faint ghost. Line the
new shot up with it, press the shutter, and the change becomes visible.
Photograph the same spot again and again, and watch the change appear.
Your last photo is laid over the live camera view as a faint ghost, so
you can line the new shot up with the old one before you press the
shutter. A 3x3 grid, a draggable pin and a resizable rectangle help you
match the framing exactly.
The viewfinder and the saved photo share the same aspect ratio, so your
layers never drift apart.
— Each subject gets its own set, with its own guide settings
— Play the whole set back as a slideshow
— Export as a GIF timelapse
For a plant on a windowsill. A child growing. A room being renovated.
Light moving across a wall through the day. Anything that changes too
slowly to notice.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Pick your photo ratio - 3:4 / 1:1 / 9:16 / 4:3
What you framed is what gets saved. This also fixes the ghost and the
live view sitting at different scales.
Pin one photo as the ghost
Choose a reference shot in the gallery and every new photo lines up
against that one. You can also pick a ghost from your album.
Ghost blink
The ghost flicks on and off, so anything out of place appears to move.
Held still and overlaid, the eye misses small differences - blinking
makes them obvious.
Photos you already took now count
Import shots from your album into a set and export the whole thing
as a GIF.
Better GIF quality
Changed how frames are scaled down. The coarse, broken-up look is gone.
Also in this version
- Bigger viewfinder, with the shutter pinned to the bottom of the screen
- The rectangle guide resizes one edge at a time
- Type, color, spacing and icons unified; new app icon
- Fixed the camera not opening on first launch
- Fixed guide lines and the pin being invisible over bright subjects
GIF export and album ghost selection run after a short ad.
