Better than Delta for GB/GBC, Adding Roms needs to be fixed

I love all the gesture features for quick saving and fast forward, much better than having a dedicated button on screen taking up space or having to open a menu. Also it’s nice to have more options compared to Delta, which is a little barebones. Currently however, the import rom feature doesn’t seem to be working right. I can still add roms by sharing them to the app through Files though.

I’m a glitch hunter for Pokémon Red/blue, so I sometimes hunt for them on those games and games like such on the Gameboy, but I noticed that Delta emulater automatically defaults to making Pokémon Red and Blue colorless, and as someone trying to document glitches, this wasn’t going to work for me. Other emulators on the App Store weren’t giving me the results I wanted, too small, weird controls, buttons in the way, no save states, until I found this app. It’s perfect, it has save states, an option to select what core you want to use all the way to GBA (so I can make the games in color) A cheat menu, importing your own game, a RESET BUTTON- (you’d be surprised how many emulators don’t have a reset button) you can change the color of the GB (without paying, the options are Black or white, which is good on the eyes compared to BRIGHT PURPLE like some other emulaters, Works fine on Power saving mode, and emulates very well. 10/10 would recommend for those who just want to enjoy the games or are glitch hunters like me.

One thing I wish it did have was the option to edit the screens and button sizes manually. I want half of my emulator to be the screen, and the bottom be the buttons, but this emulater has a rim around the screen like a real console, which is a bit annoying but fine

The Best Boy

If you want the best GameBoy experience it’s here. It’s really just kinda magical, I tried this out a few weeks ago when I was trying a bunch of different emulators before getting busy and when I came back although my phone and been through reboots and updates this automatically pulled up what I’d been playing last!

The only thing I would change would be the swipe to save and load. I just wish they were separated toggles and not all or none. This is because I wiped my screen against my shoulder to clean off smudges(kids) and accidentally loaded my previous save. It wasn’t very far back but enough to want this change just in case 😅

Edit: that’s great to know!! That makes sense now, I must have thought the rewind would only go back as far as the start of a load state.

Keep in mind that if you accidentally load a save state, you can rewind back to before loading it if you have rewinding enabled.
