SchoolGuard is a mobile panic button app for K-12 school staff. In the event of an active school shooting emergency, a teacher or school staff member presses the main SchoolGuard panic button. As the app is dialing 911, an alert is immediately sent to the smartphones of all federal, state and local, ON and OFF duty, law enforcement officers who are in close proximity to the school and who belong to the Hero911 Network. Additionally, an intra-school alert is simultaneously sent to the smartphones of all school staff and a mapped location of the initial alert is displayed (mapping depends on cell coverage). SchoolGuard also alerts all other protected schools within a 5 mile radius of the initial alert.
Please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Such a great app! We just did a drill at my school. The app worked great, but I had one thing that I thought might make the app even better. Could you make the notifications show up on a smart watch? So many teachers stuff their phones in their purse and only use their watch during the day. Just thought of it after the last drill.
Would love to see a feature that allows it to work from a smart watch! I know myself and many of my coworkers wear our watches instead of carrying our phones, it would be awesome for this to work with the watch as well.
This app saves lives
We heard about the SchoolGuard app at a seminar that we attended. After looking into it, we knew we had to have it. It is the only app that has direct communication to responding police officers.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
