Works But Afraid to Update Now
Purchased in 2019 and got it to work w/o too much fuss in my Schuberth C4 Pro. Now there is a firmware update, but the Mac OS app won’t recognize the helmet. Read that I’d need to reset to factory settings first. Since nothing is very user-friendly with this, am reluctant since things are working for now. The lack of user support isn’t what I expect from German engineering, more like the support I’d find from a Dutch company.
How can a German company release a product and have it the customer interface perform so poorly and not permit the customer to contact them to address any issues!? It makes no sense at all. There is no way to register the product or to contact Schuberth. Have tried via email, via Twitter and I get no response at all. I suppose maybe SOME day the customer service portion of these products will be addressed. This is what you get, yer very unexpectedly, when you try out an expensive brand besides Arai or Shoei. Have never had an issue with the Japanese customer service. Maybe this is a signal to return to where the customer is actually valued.
I use the Mac OS on a MacBook and iPhone XS. Latest OS versions. The App connection to our helmets (C4 Pro) and SC1S communication units worked seamlessly! And the Mac firmware updater was easy to download and set up! Latest firmware versions installed on both helmets… I’m impressed!
