Useful but buggy
Normally this is a useful app when it works. Sometimes you need to sign in multiple times before it actually logs in. Sometimes the services don’t load. When it loads sometimes data is missing and on the iPhone X it’s really hard to scroll down or up. I tried pulling up my RX claims recently and it’s missing 3 months of history but on my computer it works fine. The drug price search is also not accurate. It needs to have an update soon to fix some of the issues.
This app has a lot to be desired. It has the potential to be something great. I can see that the layout of the app is meant to be “user friendly”. However, considering this app is for something as sensitive as healthcare, it’s very disappointing in how it functions. It NEVER remembers your password, and it will tell you it’s always an incorrect username/password. So when you go to reset one or the other, the app has an error, EVERY TIME! It’s extremely frustrating! Especially when you’re at the doctor or pharmacy and you can’t get your info pulled up. Even the Select Health customer service line agrees that the app is horrible! They always recommend calling in, it’s less time consuming. If there are this many errors, is it really secure? Just a thought...
A great tool to know your benefits on the go
I’m the type of person that forgets everything. If you don’t believe me, ask my wife. So to be able to pull up my electronic ID card while at the doctor’s office or see what I’ve met towards my deductible or out-of-pocket maximum while traveling on the train is pretty awesome. Is it a perfect app? Nope. But it gets the job done and keeps me up to date on my claims, benefits, and deductible and out-of-pocket amounts. 5/5 for me.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
