#1) It would be nice if it was easier to swap between gyms instead of having to only go through the “change my home gym” option. I have two close by that I go to and it is annoying having to utilize that feature every time.#2) Class cancellations charging $3 I understand, but the time requirement I feel could be lessened to 3 or so hours. I see many classes not even fill up until the hour prior so if I have something else come up when I planned in advance to go to I.e studio red, that would be a great value add to be able to cancel within a few hours instead of an entire work day prior.

I have been going to vasa for about two years now and it is absolutely amazing! Everyone is so nice welcoming and friendly and they genuinely try to get to know you! I have a personal trainer I go to and he has taught me so much I did not even know and whenever I see videos of healthy snacks or different workouts I ask him about them and what he thinks and he gives me his honest opinion. I have had no issues with memberships or being overcharged for anything and I keep a good eye on my account as well. I recently upgraded my account to be able to bring my child with me. I have tried to find a gym for so long and all the other gyms I tried do not compare to this one, I love how this gym has a friendly environment there have been some times I’m going heavy on upper body days and when I am about to fail I see someone come over to me and help me out with getting the last few reps, even if someone sees me struggling on the squat rack they come over to help and it’s not just the employees but the actual people that have a membership there!! I love this gym because I know it is like a family there and we are all there for the same reason and we all support each other! If you are going through the reviews I hope you see mine and decide to join because no other gym is better than vasa!

My husband and I opened accounts a few months ago. We enjoyed the gym for the duration in which we were members. We tried to cancel the membership because we are moving to a place with a free gym on site. In the process of cancelling, we were told both accounts were cancelled but we found out later that mine was left open. I only knew because I got an email warning me that I had a pending transaction from VASA, we called and they said that fee would be waived and we would be fine. A few days later, the fee was taken out and we had to use the *awful* online help service (because they hung up on us on the phone three times) and they said that we aren’t getting that money back even tho it wasn’t our fault and so we were charged, in all, $145 to close our accounts. Lack of communication, awful customer service. Not to mention, no sight of a refund for their error… but thank goodness they waived the $25 cancellation fee *the second time* we had to cancel. Just be warned that if you try to cancel they make you wait until they get their monthly and THEN you can cancel after paying for a month you can’t use. In all, we liked it when we were members, but it all goes to one star when you’re treated like garbage for just needing to cancel.

Vasa is horrible company and I wish we never signed up… they lured us in with a 30 day *free* studio membership and tricked us into adding a member (which didn’t show their would be a single charge but in reality that extra member was being charged full price so now my wife’s card is getting charged double!) and then when we want to cancel we get hit with all these hidden fees, some we knew about and some we WERE NOT TOLD ABOUT!… and had to learn from customer support which I waited an hour for them to give me a callback…. there’s the $50 yearly fee charged after the first 30 days(they said 2 months), there’s the $25 fee if you want to switch plans (why!?) $25 fee for canceling in the first 6 months, and when you cancel you get charged for the next month because they need a “30 day notice”, like..just because they can and apparently it was in the fine print…. What else is in the fine print that I don’t know about???? Do they charge $0.25 for every mile you run on a treadmill, do they charge $5 for every shower you take? Do they charge a $200 fee for every 9 months you stay?? They could literally put whatever they want in the fine print and get away with it because “you signed a contract” this is the slimiest, sleaziest company I’ve ever dealt with.
