An indispensable tool for your database toolkit.

This is a handy, quick, Mac native tool for working with MySQL databases. Sure, it's got all your normal tools for working with databases, see table info, details, change schemas, write sql etc. but there's a lot of little hidden gems. Write a query or filter the rows in a database and if needs be you can select all the rows and copy it as a giant SQL Insert statement. Very handy for getting test data from a production database into your test database. Poke around in the tool, you'll be surprised at some of it's features. It's not perfect, if possible I would have given it 4.5 stars. There's some quirks that will drive you crazy. Getting the bundle, i.e. plugin to format your sql statement takes some real digging on the inter webs to make work. That could definitely be a lot easier to do. However, it is open source and available on Git Hub and I know the Moballo, LLC team is focused on trying to address some of the quirks. And, I know that it's already getting a following on Git. Looking forward to seeing all the enhancements to come.

This tool, just like Sequel Pro that it says it's a successor to, is an absolutely excellent tool for working with mysql.This tool is better than the tools I've tried that are paid for. It's simply an excellent tool, with a powerful and complete feature set.I would absolutely pay for this tool. I've been a long-time user and fan of Sequel Pro, and after returning to using mysql after a couple of years, I was so saddened that it no longer worked. But this is like the long-awaited update to Sequel Pro I had wished for. I can't recommend this enough. It's not just good because it's free. It's just plain good.

I have long used Sequel Ace and it's predecessor, and when I'm force to us other tools, I'm constantly saying "I just want to..."The UX for this tool is light-years beyond the others. Clean and minimal, functions organized logically, and giant piles of useless information hidden. Choose a thing, work on that thing, move on. Keyboard shortcuts are useful as well.The query editor pane is kind of janky, with stray characters introduced when completions are offered, but I can live with that, when I don't have to live with the terrible, terrible design of MySQL Workbench.
So much more sensible that other db apps

I cannot and have not found a alternative that fits my workflow like this app does.When Sequel Pro started falling off and compatibility became an issue, I searched high and low for something to replace it and I really disliked all the apps I came across. The tree menus on everything sucked, the UI/UX is just awful on these other apps so I was extremely happy when I happened to run across Sequel Ace! All the features I need from the other apps but in a much cleaner UI.
