ShackDeck

Ham radio receiver and FT8

Free

Listen to the bands from your phone: public online receivers, an FT8 decoder and the waterfall, or your own radio through ShackDeck on your computer. ShackDeck for iPhone and iPad is the companion to ShackDeck, the free program for radio amateurs and shortwave listeners on Mac and Windows. It also listens to the bands on its own. LISTEN WITHOUT A COMPUTER • Hundreds of public online receivers around the world; the nearest free one is picked for you • A built-in FT8 decoder: see who is on the air, who calls whom, with country flags • The live waterfall with the spectrum, the S-meter and the 15-second FT8 period • Tune with a finger: drag any digit of the frequency up or down, or type it in • USB, LSB, CW, AM, FM and FT8 WITH SHACKDECK ON YOUR COMPUTER • Pair once by scanning the QR code on the program's Remote tab • Straight over your home network, or over the internet when you are away • Choose the source: your own transceiver, an online receiver or the program's online band • Your logbook at hand, with search; tap a contact to see it on the map • The stations you hear on the map, coloured as in the program, with paths from your grid square • Work FT8: answer a CQ or call CQ, and the program runs the exchange and logs the contact • Talk on SSB, AM and FM through the transceiver at your computer while you hold the Talk button Transmitting from the phone is switched on in the program on the computer. No account, no advertising, no tracking. The program for Mac and Windows is free at shackdeck.com.
