A unique workout experience where you listen to podcasts during the relaxing parts of your workout, and seamlessly shifts to music when you’re giving it your max.
We built Shift because like many of you, we love listening to podcasts while working out. However, it's not optimal when things get heavy. To cope with that we have built a technology that plays podcasts when you rest or recover, and automatically shifts over to music when you need it. We've put a lot of effort into making it work without ever having to touch the phone. Just set up a timer and tap your headphones to shift.
Shift works with Spotify, Apple Music (and others), and your own podcast apps so that you can enjoy your favorite workout music and podcasts!
Shift provides a full Apple Health Kit integration, if you have an Apple Watch with the Shift watch app installed. The integration allows you to track your workouts, and follow your heart rate.

Great news for those of you that love interval training and functional fitness.
We've made it possible to create consecutive timers, such as work-intervals of 4-3-2-1-2-3-4 mins, with 1-minute rest between. These are really powerful workouts, that gets so much better with Shift, where you'll have your favorite podcasts playing during the rest periods, and music during work.
Bonus! We've also added loads of more workout-playlists from Spotify.

The app finally loads on my phone. This app is basically tailor made for me. Podcasts, music, automatic intervals, custom settings. It's got everything you'd need to make a high intensity and on track workout. Could not really recommend it more for anyone who wants to keep there workouts quick, concise, and punctual. Also, have to say that the creator(s) really listen to feedback and patch bugs in a timely fashion. Great app, great creator(s). Well done.
I don’t know how many people need (or want) to switch between podcasts and lifting music but I sure do! This is an awesome app! You can even set your rest timer so you can ensure that you only rest the proper amount of time. I thought that I was the only one who liked podcasts during workouts. I don’t know this developer but he has put together a sweet app for intelligent gym rats!! Well done.
UX is on point
As a full time web/mobile developer myself I gotta say the UX (user experience, or how the app is laid out and works) and UI are super clean and on point. Very intuitive. Only thing I wish it could do is hook into pocket casts and mark an episode as played, and/or maintain my listening history. But that’s a super nit picky thing to ask for, so I understand.
