ShiPan is a private case-record and calculation-audit workspace for practitioners and researchers. Its primary workflow is structured casework: preserve source details, normalize time inputs, retain immutable calculation revisions, anchor observations and verification notes, and deliver professional records. It does not generate automatic readings.
Casework and audit capabilities:
• Create, search, and pin case files with source context, place, IANA time zone, longitude, tags, and custom fields
• Keep observations, supporting basis, open questions, and later verification notes anchored to an exact calculation location or year
• Store every recalculation as an immutable revision with the input, rule set, engine version, calendar-core version, and a readable trace
• Inspect recorded time versus normalized time, UTC offset, repeated-time choice, longitude correction, equation of time, and boundary rules
• Compare two saved calculation records and list cross-case structural facts without compatibility ratings or value judgments
• Export one case or the full library as professional PDFs containing source context, rules, calculations, timelines, and notes
• Create a complete local backup of cases, revisions, annotations, custom fields, and templates; import validates references and consistency before an explicitly confirmed atomic replacement
Calculation module:
• The current module supports BaZi / Four Pillars calculations, including pillars, Ten Gods, hidden stems, growth stages, Na Yin, void branches, conception pillar, life palace, and body palace
• Retain the recorded clock time and optionally calculate apparent solar time using longitude correction and the equation of time
• Explicitly choose the matching UTC offset when a daylight-saving or time-zone rollback repeats a local civil time
• Choose a midnight or Zi-hour day boundary and traditional or minute-precise cycle timing, with each rule stored in the case revision
ShiPan works without an account and includes no ads, analytics, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or tracking SDKs. Case files, source details, calculation revisions, annotations, and preferences remain on your device. PDF exports, text exports, and full backups are handed to iOS system panels only when you initiate them; ShiPan does not upload this content automatically.
